My Cup of Tea (MCOT) is an informal meeting and empowerment group for professionals and/or former professionals of working age who suffer from mental health conditions who wish to share or discuss in an informal setting the unique challenges facing that particular group trying to overcome mental health stigma and other obstacles, either in returning to work and/or finding new meaning in a world where they no longer work. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month in Coffika Cafe (formerly Couch).
The group is simply to share and support – as little or as much as you wish. For more details email them or you can just turn up. They politely request not to bring your support worker if you have one.
A table with two couches is reserved in the window. Just look for the woman with a yellow scarf. The location is directly opposite a bus stop and parking is free for 2hrs in the car park directly opposite (Berkeley Precinct).
There is also a women only group called Taking the Biscuit.
Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
