The Wellbeing Cafe at Door 43 is a weekly event for young people aged 13-25. The cafe offers free refreshments and is a space for young people to relax and speak with others in similar situation. There are qualified workers, and a team of peer supporters and volunteers.
Door 43 offers support to 13-25 year olds on a range of emotional wellbeing issues in a young person centred environment.
There are separate Wellbeing Cafes that run at the same time – one for 13-18 year olds and one for 18-25 year olds. They meet every Tuesday 5pm – 6.30pm at Sheffield Futures, Star House, 43 Division Street, Sheffield, S1 4GE.
The service focuses on early intervention and low level support and is not a specialist mental health service. The staff at Door43 are not able to conduct mental health assessments or provide intensive one-to-one sessions or clinical treatment, but they will refer young people to appropriate services if required.
Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
