Amy’s House is a local charity that provides care and support for children (5-18 years old) with additional support needs and sometimes life limiting illnesses and their families in Sheffield.
They aim to meet the holistic requirements of the children they support through education, exercise and fun. Amy’s House acts as a respite centre which offers support the child and also their siblings. They offer term-time sessions on Saturdays and Monday to Friday sessions during the school holidays.
Their facilities include a multi-sensory room with an interactive magic carpet, a multi-purpose function room, soft play area, an indoor and a large outdoor play area with specialist equipment.
They also provide additional services such as: pick up and drop off to and from sessions for a nominal fee; direct payment and family support; and online help. They also provide parents with advice about specialised care services.
