Ashiana Sheffield is a service for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women, young people and children affected by abuse.

They provide practical and emotional support for women (with or without children) fleeing physical, domestic, sexual, mental or emotional abuse. Ashiana also support women who have experienced or are at risk of:

  • Forced marriage
  • Extreme personal restrictions
  • Gang violence
  • Female genital mutilation (FGM)
  • Honour-based violence
  • Human trafficking

They provide accommodation for women and children who have survived human trafficking and also offer advice and support to residents.

Ashiana can support you with:

  • Accommodation
  • Personal safety
  • Finance
  • Parenting
  • Substance misuse
  • Domestic abuse
  • Health
  • Education
  • Training – including ESOL in a women only environment
  • Social integration
  • Immigration and asylum

Anyone can make a referral, including women and children who have no recourse to public funds. They also run a drop in service from 2.00pm-4.00pm on Tuesdays. Contact [email protected] for more information.
