The 18-25 Deaf Mental Health Assessment Service is a free NHS service covering the Yorkshire and Humber regions. It is a 2 year pilot scheme which closes March 2026.
They are there to provide assessments around:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Language deprivation
- Emotional/Behavioural needs
It is for deaf adults aged 18-25, who have a hearing status of severely or profoundly deaf, a BSL user or have significant issues with language.
The service can offer assessments and short term intervention as required. They can also sign post you to other services.
Referrals can be made by a professional (e.g. GP, Education Worker or Social Worker) or through self referral. Please use the contact details below for a referral form, or to discuss any issues or potential referrals.
