Good Vibrations is a national charity, based in Sheffield which supports people in challenging circumstances through communal music-making. Their aim is to inspire and motivate marginalised people with complex needs and give them the tools they need to help realise their true potential and build more positive futures. They work in prisons, secure hospitals and in the community, using music, as well as other art forms, such as shadow puppetry, dance and adapted technology.
Resonate Sheffield
In Sheffield they run a weekly community music project called Resonate which uses Indonesian gamelan instruments. No musical experience is needed. Sessions are free, no referral is necessary, but you do need to register your attendance here.
Sessions run every Wednesdays 10:30am-12:30pm in the lower ground floor hall of the Highfield Trinity Church (access via the back door on Holland Place).
