The Lullaby Trust provides specialist support for bereaved families, promotes advice on safer baby sleep and raises awareness of sudden infant death.

The Lullaby Trust operates nationwide across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They run an information line for parents and professionals and a dedicated line for bereaved families. Both are free to call from landlines and mobiles:

Other support provided for bereaved families include:

  • On-line Discussion Forum
  • ‘In Memory’ website – offering bereaved parents the opportunity to create an individual memorial page for their child
  • Free ‘Family Days’
  • Downloadable information and resources
  • Befriender Support

Working with the NHS they run a national health-visitor led service for bereaved parents: Care of Next Infant (CONI) programme. This supports families before and after the birth of their new baby.

They are also involved in research, campaigning and lobbying around sudden infant death.

The Lullaby Trust also run Little Lullaby, a support project for young parents under 25. Little Lullaby provides additional support for young parents on a range of issues but focusing specifically on safer sleeping and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
