The Men’s Advice Line is a helpline for men experiencing domestic violence and/or abuse from a partner or ex-partner. The service is for any self-identifying man, whether heterosexual, gay, or bi. They can also support concerned friends, family and frontline workers. The service provides information, emotional support and practical advice.
Their team of professionals will believe what you tell them and listen to you without judgement. The service is run and managed by Respect.
Phoneline
You can call the Advice Line Monday-Friday, 10am to 5pm on 0808 801 0327 and you can also leave a message. The call is free from landlines and mobile phones within the UK. Your call will not appear on itemised bills. You can also call free from BT pay phones.
Men’s Advice Line is a very busy helpline and they can’t always answer calls as quickly as they would like. A queueing system operates with no maximum waiting time. Your call will be held in the queue until an Advisor becomes available or until the time the helpline closes.
Webchat and Website
A webchat service is also available on Wednesdays 10am-11.30am and Thursdays 2pm-4pm. This is accessed via their website.
Their website offers specific help and information for male victims of domestic violence, frontline workers, and information for concerned friends and family.
