Sheffield Sling Surgery and Library is a service that helps Sheffield families to carry their children safely and well. The service promotes close contact between baby and carer through the use of slings and/or baby carriers.
At present, they offer:
- 1:1 tailored and bookable appointments
- 4th Trimester Service – a parenting support group for parents and their partners or significant caregivers. It is suitable for those with bumps or babies up to four months of age.
- In-person Workshops provide a small group setting
- Online virtual community
- The Sling Spot shop
The library also supports the Building Bonds Project, which provides slings and carriers to families unable to source their own. Health and social care professionals can refer families in need to them for help.
The Sling Library, its workshops and consultations are all based at The Snug in Sheffield City Centre.
