Sibs exists to support people who grow up with or have grown up with a disabled brother or sister. It is the only UK charity representing the needs of over half a million young siblings and over one and a half million adult siblings.

Adult Support Group – Online

Adult Support Groups, run by trained volunteers, are an opportunity for adult siblings to meet and support each other. Groups are run by trained volunteer facilitators, who are siblings themselves. The facilitators are members of the group too, and they will give and receive peer support like anyone else. For more details about how the groups run, criteria for inclusion, and joining information please see their webpage.

Ask a sibling advisor – Under 18’s

Sibs offers a contact us messaging service that allows young siblings to ask for advice.

Parent/Carer Resources

Sibs has many resources that include information and tips for supporting siblings with feelings, attention, and understanding disability or additional needs.

Professionals Supporting Siblings

Resources to support those working with disabled children and their families and how you can support them through your service or at school, and how you can get more help for young siblings.
