Snowdrop Project provides long-term support to empower survivors of human trafficking. They work closely with clients to ensure their individual needs however complex, are met.
Their services include:
- Casework & befriending: One-to-one, long-term support tailored to meet the needs of individual survivors to empower them to move on from their past. Support can last from a few months to a few years, depending on the need.
- Counselling: Free one-to-one counselling which is tailored to the needs of each client and helps them to deal with the psychological impact of being a survivor of human trafficking. Snowdrop Project also offer coping techniques for everyday life such as help with sleep, depression and anxiety, as well as managing the symptoms of trauma are provided in a group format.
- Education and employment: Weekly English Classes from Hope English School with onsite childcare. They also have a partnership with the Co-op’s Bright Future Programme to offer paid work-experience opportunities to survivors.
- Community activities: They train activity volunteers to provide opportunities for survivors to build friendships in the community and access life skills and hobbies.
- Renovations: When survivors are provided with permanent housing by the council, Snowdrop help turn this house into a home through their renovation program. The renovation process includes cleaning, painting, decorating and sourcing furniture.
- Training and consultancy: Training is delivered in the field of anti-trafficking. Snowdrop train all their own volunteers and provide tailored training and consultancy for other organisations to suit their needs.
