UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) are an organisation for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK.
They hold the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors which only includes practitioners who meet their ethical standards and training requirements alongside those who agree to abide by rigorous ethical standards. The national register that the UKCP hold is accredited which which means that they meet the professional standards authority for health and social care. This is essential when accessing therapy or psychotherapeutic support in the UK.
The UKCP website provides facilities to search for an accredited psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor in your local area. To find a therapist, click here.
