Work Routes is a free support service that helps unemployed people start working.
They are an employability programme who specialise in supporting people who have health conditions and disabilities. They look at the individuals barriers (including mental health) and work closely with that person to break them down and get them back in to a position when they can go back in to employment.
Their programme is 15 months long so that gives us the opportunity to move at a pace that will help the person get into sustainable employment and not rush them before they are ready.
It is only available for people who are on job seekers allowance. Checks will go to the DWP, who will check ID and the eligibility.
People are referred to our programme who meet the eligibility criteria. More information on their website.
Eligibility Groups are:
- People with a disability/health condition
- Economically inactive
- Or those who meet the early access group such as: care leavers, refugees, Ukrainian evacuees
Work Routes is run by Reed in Partnership.
