Ashiana Sheffield is a service for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women, young people and children affected by abuse.

They provide practical and emotional support for women (with or without children) fleeing physical, domestic, sexual, mental or emotional abuse. Ashiana also support women who have experienced or are at risk of forced marriage, extreme personal restrictions, gang violence, female genital mutilation (FGM), honour-based violence and human trafficking. They provide accommodation for women and children who have survived human trafficking and also offer advice and support to residents including outreach aftercare provision for those who have been rehoused.

Ashiana provide support with accommodation, personal safety, finance, parenting, substance misuse, domestic abuse, health, education, training and social integration as well as immigration and asylum advice. They also run a wide range of groups and courses in a women only environment.

Anyone can make a referral, including women and children who have no recourse to public funds. They also run a drop in service from 2.00pm-4.00pm on Tuesdays. Contact [email protected] for more information.
